For a long time I thought I was an uncreative person, in fact, for years I thought that.
In truth, I didn’t lack creativity, I lacked “LIFE”.
Anyone who has followed me for a while knows that I have a study group for the book “Women Who Run with the Wolves” and in this book, the author describes how creativity is like a river below the river. Everyone is born with an infinite source of creativity, but for reasons in life, which we can talk about at another time, this river dries up and creativity does not flow.
For women, we also have two more influencers in our field of creativity: Our menstrual cycle and lunar cycles.
I don’t even need to go too far, but remember a few days before your period starts… you probably get bored with simple things and have a great tendency to sit in front of the TV and binge on some dessert, right? There doesn’t seem to be much energy left for our creative processes.
In the first days of the period (the bleeding days), forget it! If it were possible not to even leave the house to work, we wouldn’t go.
However, soon after our period ends, our hormonal levels begin to rise again and we soon become excited, soon we begin to be inspired and want to create again.
The same happens when the moon cycles and the Crescent moon. It is at this moment that we have a little boost from lunar influences to increase our creativity.
So, if you, like me, work with creative processes, here’s a tip:
Program yourself to create two moments that can be different or coincide with each other: Every crescent moon phase or in your postmenstrual moment. But like this, always remember that this is not a rule, it’s just a tip, something that has helped me to be productive while honoring my Sacred Feminine.
