Every transformation process is destructive.

Every transformation process is destructive.

And that is the main reason why so many people resist transformations because every change will require a process of destruction.

If you want to move to another country, you will need to leave many comforts behind, you will have to give up the stability of having your family close by. If you want to change your job, you need to let go of your current routine. If you want to invest, you have to give up the “security” that being employed brings you.

If you want to evolve spiritually, if you are looking for emotional maturity, you need to understand that you will first have to destroy many of the concepts and beliefs you already have.

You can’t be a new person, in the same environment. And I’m not encouraging you to “move out” of your house, or quit your job tomorrow, but about being aware that within you, at the very least, things need to change.

And change is uncomfortable, precisely because of all this “destruction” we must do. There is no way to remodel a house without breaking walls. There is no reform without “dirt”. And from this place comes the need, often, for solitude.

Few people accept to be by our side while they watch the old and moldy walls crumble. There are few people that you will feel comfortable having around right now. And often, there are few guests you will want to visit the new house.

It took me a long time to accept this destruction in my evolutionary process. It took me even longer to understand, and even today I seek help from my therapist, to be able to accept that some people only belong to our past.

The process of personal and spiritual evolution requires a lot of internal movement. It takes a lot of personal revolution, and that sometimes, or most of the time, hurts.

Then you will ask me: with so much “pain”, and so much “destruction”, why still reap for these internal things?

Raul Seixas already said: “I prefer to be, this walking metamorphosis, than to have that old opinion formed about everything”

I choose to change and constantly be my best version than live stuck in patterns that no longer serve me.
